BSNL’s Spam reporting system is useless.
Posted on Nov 24, 2007 under Uncategorized | 1 CommentI am getting 100s of spam email in my mail box each day just like everyone gets. I’m not new so nothing to surprise for me. Now if I’ll ask what should I do to avoid these spam email, Then most probable that you will suggest me following things:
- Don’t enter your personal or professional email address in any website where they ask to enter email address
- When ever you receive a spam email then click on the spam button to report it.
- Avoid using free email services like Yahoo, Gmail, Rediffmail, Sify etc..
If you’ve more tips please share with me.
Getting spam email in free email accounts is normal and somehow acceptable, but what if you are using paid email services of your ISP like BSNL (or Sancharnet)??
Now the reason that I’m writing this post is that, today I though this is enough, I will report each spam emails today. Though that they will block spammers id or domain or IP. So selected all the spam mails on each page and clicked “Spam” Button. And after that I got this ‘Reply’ (Actually mail delivery failure notification).
This Message was undeliverable due to the following reason:
The User(S) account is temporarily over quota.

Means spam reporting is useless. No one is there to help us to get rid of the spammers.
